Interpretation
The song "The Colony of Slipperman" by
Genesis tells the story of Rael, a lonely wanderer who encounters a strange crowd on a dirty street. These people, called Slipperman, are covered in strange lumps and have slippery lips. They invite Rael to join them and claim that he is just like them.
Rael is confused and wonders how he can be similar to them. However, Slipperman warns him not to run away and tells him that his stay in the colony of the Slippermen has only just begun. He is urged to join his brother John.
Later, Rael visits the Doctor in the colony and learns that there is no way out. The Doctor, called Doctor Dyper, will subject Rael to a treatment. However, Rael and John are ready to confront the Doctor and his marble table.
